Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ume kaoru (Fragrance of plum) by Insho Domoto was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2000. The price achieved of USD 4,935.00 (€ 5,584.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Insho Domoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chikaku ("Perception"), which sold at auction in September 2002 for USD 13,145.00 (€ 13,306.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ume kaoru (Fragrance of plum) von Insho Domoto kam im September 2000 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.935,00 (€ 5.584,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Insho Domoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chikaku ("Perception") beobachtet, die im September 2002 für USD 13.145,00 (€ 13.306,00) versteigert wurde.
