Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Domenico Zindato was sold in the Outsider Art auction at Christies in New York in January 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,943.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Zindato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Triptych), 2012, which sold at auction in January 2018 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,549.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Domenico Zindato wurde im Januar 2020 in der Auktion Outsider Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.943,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Domenico Zindato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Triptych), 2012 beobachtet, die im Januar 2018 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.549,24) versteigert wurde.
