This artwork by Domenico Gnoli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July last year. In the Five Private Collections auction, the work (i) The Village Bullfight: Picador I(ii) The Village Bullfight: Picador II sold for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Gnoli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Hair in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 7,026,500.00 (€ 8,524,835.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Domenico Gnoli erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Five Private Collections wurde die Arbeit (i) The Village Bullfight: Picador I(ii) The Village Bullfight: Picador II für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.046,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Gnoli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Hair im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.026.500,00 (€ 8.524.835,22).
