Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Domenico Cantatore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2000. In the Arte del XX secolo auction, the work Odalisca sold for ITL 17,625,000.00 (€ 15,115.78) - well above the upper estimate of ITL 7,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Domenico Cantatore; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Natura morta sold at auction in May 2000 with the realized price of ITL 28,200,000.00 (€ 24,185.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Domenico Cantatore erzielte im Mai 2000 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arte del XX secolo wurde die Arbeit Odalisca für ITL 17.625.000,00 (€ 15.115,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von ITL 7.000.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Domenico Cantatore; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Natura morta im Mai 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von ITL 28.200.000,00 (€ 24.185,25).
