Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Do Quang Em achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2020. In the La Mystique de L'Indochine auction, the work Still Life | 靜物 sold for HKD 100,800.00 (€ 10,632.22) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Do Quang Em - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Quen, which sold at auction in October this year for HKD 204,800.00 (€ 24,766.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Do Quang Em erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion La Mystique de L'Indochine wurde die Arbeit Still Life | 靜物 für HKD 100.800,00 (€ 10.632,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Do Quang Em mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Quen beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für HKD 204.800,00 (€ 24.766,69) versteigert wurde.
