In October 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of The Artist'S Wife by Do Quang Em. The auction ended at the price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 20,343.79), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Do Quang Em have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October this year the work Portrait Of Quen was auctioned for HKD 204,800.00 (€ 24,766.69).

Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of The Artist'S Wife von Do Quang Em zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 20.343,79) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Do Quang Em konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres die Arbeit Portrait Of Quen für HKD 204.800,00 (€ 24.766,69) versteigert.
