In July 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Blue Flood With Pool by Dirk Skreber. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,390.84), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirk Skreber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gelb Lok (Yellow Locomotive) in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 497,600.00 (€ 387,750.33).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue Flood With Pool von Dirk Skreber zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.390,84) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dirk Skreber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gelb Lok (Yellow Locomotive) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 497.600,00 (€ 387.750,33).
