Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I R U S H HO HO HO 10.0 by Dirk Skreber was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,494.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirk Skreber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gelb Lok (Yellow Locomotive) in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 497,600.00 (€ 387,750.33).

Die Arbeit I R U S H HO HO HO 10.0 von Dirk Skreber wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.494,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dirk Skreber erzielen.
