Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Hungarian Hussars Attacking French Diplomats Outside Rastatt, 28 April 1799 by Dirk Langendijk for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,472.59). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirk Langendijk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Skirmish Between Cavalry Officers And Footsoldiers With Bayonets, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,911.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hungarian Hussars Attacking French Diplomats Outside Rastatt, 28 April 1799 von Dirk Langendijk für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.472,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirk Langendijk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Skirmish Between Cavalry Officers And Footsoldiers With Bayonets beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.911,04) versteigert wurde.
