It achieved a price of HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Ding Yunpeng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sweeping the Elephant in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 6,640,000.00 (€ 767,939.75).

Die Arbeit Washing Elephant von Ding Yunpeng wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings And Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Yunpeng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sweeping the Elephant im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.640.000,00 (€ 767.939,75).
