In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Cloudy Mountains in the Style of Mi Youren by Ding Yunpeng. The auction ended at the price of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 109,254.50), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ding Yunpeng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sweeping the Elephant in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 6,640,000.00 (€ 767,939.75).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cloudy Mountains in the Style of Mi Youren von Ding Yunpeng zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 109.254,50) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Yunpeng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sweeping the Elephant im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.640.000,00 (€ 767.939,75).
