A top price for Ding Yunpeng
This artwork by Ding Yunpeng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Sweeping the Elephant sold for HKD 6,640,000.00 (€ 767,939.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,800,000.00. This high result makes Sweeping the Elephant the most expensive artwork by Ding Yunpeng that we have observed at auctions so far.
