It achieved a price of USD 197,000.00 (€ 156,002.53), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Admittedly, works by Ding Yunpeng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sweeping the Elephant in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 6,640,000.00 (€ 767,939.75).

Die Arbeit Lion And Barbarians von Ding Yunpeng kam im September 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 156.002,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Yunpeng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sweeping the Elephant im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.640.000,00 (€ 767.939,75).
