Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dimitri Hadzi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2012. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (River Styx) sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,827.60) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dimitri Hadzi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Levitation sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,302.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dimitri Hadzi erzielte im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (River Styx) für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.827,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dimitri Hadzi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Levitation im Mai 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.302,36).
