Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Vissen - Fish by Dick Elffers. It changed hands for a price of EUR 763.75 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dick Elffers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Surrealistic landscape with houses, which sold at auction in September 2000 for NLG 4,680.80 (€ 2,157.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vissen - Fish von Dick Elffers zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 763,75 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dick Elffers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Surrealistic landscape with houses beobachtet, die im September 2000 für NLG 4.680,80 (€ 2.157,39) versteigert wurde.
