Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Groep te Katendrecht by Dick Elffers was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. It changed hands for a price of EUR 705.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 550.00 – 750.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dick Elffers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Surrealistic landscape with houses, which sold at auction in September 2000 for NLG 4,680.80 (€ 2,157.39).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 705,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 550,00 – 750,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dick Elffers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Surrealistic landscape with houses beobachtet, die im September 2000 für NLG 4.680,80 (€ 2.157,39) versteigert wurde.
