The work A still life with a bottle and a soup tureen by Dick Elffers was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2002. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 998.75 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dick Elffers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Surrealistic landscape with houses, which sold at auction in September 2000 for NLG 4,680.80 (€ 2,157.39).

Die Arbeit A still life with a bottle and a soup tureen von Dick Elffers wurde im März 2002 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 998,75 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dick Elffers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Surrealistic landscape with houses beobachtet, die im September 2000 für NLG 4.680,80 (€ 2.157,39) versteigert wurde.
