Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A man at a table by Dick Elffers was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 822.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dick Elffers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Surrealistic landscape with houses, which sold at auction in September 2000 for NLG 4,680.80 (€ 2,157.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A man at a table von Dick Elffers kam im Januar 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 822,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dick Elffers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Surrealistic landscape with houses beobachtet, die im September 2000 für NLG 4.680,80 (€ 2.157,39) versteigert wurde.
