Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with a table by Dick Elffers was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 550.00 – 750.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 587.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dick Elffers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Surrealistic landscape with houses, which sold at auction in September 2000 for NLG 4,680.80 (€ 2,157.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still life with a table von Dick Elffers kam im März 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 550,00 – 750,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 587,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dick Elffers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Surrealistic landscape with houses beobachtet, die im September 2000 für NLG 4.680,80 (€ 2.157,39) versteigert wurde.
