Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Patriotic Young Man With A Flag, N.Y.C. by Diane Arbus was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art (Day Auction) auction at Christies in London in February 2013. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,985.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diane Arbus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A box of ten photographs in May this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 946,123.52).

Die Arbeit Patriotic Young Man With A Flag, N.Y.C. von Diane Arbus wurde im Februar 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art (Day Auction) bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.985,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diane Arbus erzielen.
