Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by DeWitt Parshall could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The Bathers changed hands for USD 562.50 (€ 392.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by DeWitt Parshall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grand Canyon 36 x 40 in. framed 41 x 44 3/4 in. in November this year with an auction result of USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,867.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von DeWitt Parshall konnte im Juli 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit The Bathers für USD 562,50 (€ 392,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von DeWitt Parshall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grand Canyon 36 x 40 in. framed 41 x 44 3/4 in. im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.400,00 (€ 5.867,25).
