The work Sand Beach and Cliffs, Carmel by DeWitt Parshall was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year. It achieved a price of USD 4,080.00 (€ 4,053.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by DeWitt Parshall; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Grand Canyon 36 x 40 in. framed 41 x 44 3/4 in. sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,867.25).

Die Arbeit Sand Beach and Cliffs, Carmel von DeWitt Parshall wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 4.053,65) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von DeWitt Parshall; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Grand Canyon 36 x 40 in. framed 41 x 44 3/4 in. im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.400,00 (€ 5.867,25).
