Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zoroaster Peak, Grand Canyon by DeWitt Parshall was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,887.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by DeWitt Parshall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grand Canyon 36 x 40 in. framed 41 x 44 3/4 in., which sold at auction in November this year for USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,867.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zoroaster Peak, Grand Canyon von DeWitt Parshall kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.887,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von DeWitt Parshall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grand Canyon 36 x 40 in. framed 41 x 44 3/4 in. beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 6.400,00 (€ 5.867,25) versteigert wurde.
