Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by DeWitt Parshall could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work A Letter To Joseph Knapp About His Painting 'Silence' changed hands for USD 12.00 (€ 9.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50.00 – 100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by DeWitt Parshall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grand Canyon 36 x 40 in. framed 41 x 44 3/4 in. in November this year with an auction result of USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,867.25).
