Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Near Collioure In The Pyréneés by Derwent Lees was sold in the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,662.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derwent Lees achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sandhills in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 71,083.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Near Collioure In The Pyréneés von Derwent Lees wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
