Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman in Optimum Blue - 2017 by Derrick Adams was auctioned at Artcurial in May this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,936.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derrick Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure In The Urban Landscape 31 in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 212,892.79).

Die Arbeit Woman in Optimum Blue - 2017 von Derrick Adams kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.936,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derrick Adams erzielen.
