Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included the work All or Nothing by Derek Fordjour. The price achieved of GBP 239,400.00 (€ 278,114.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Derek Fordjour - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ornithologist, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit All or Nothing von Derek Fordjour zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 239.400,00 (€ 278.114,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Derek Fordjour mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ornithologist beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22) versteigert wurde.
