Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Denis Bowen could be acquired at Sothebys in Olympia in November 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British and Irish Art auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 576.00 (€ 855.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Denis Bowen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Form Through Action in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,675.74).
