Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Deng Shiru could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Seal Script changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,819.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deng Shiru achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seal Script Calligraphy in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,697.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Deng Shiru konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.819,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Deng Shiru erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seal Script Calligraphy im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.697,82).
