It achieved a price of HKD 391,500.00 (€ 32,230.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. Admittedly, works by Deng Shiru have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seal Script Calligraphy in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,697.82).

Die Arbeit A Five-Character Quatrain in Official Script Calligraphy von Deng Shiru kam im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 391.500,00 (€ 32.230,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Deng Shiru auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seal Script Calligraphy im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.697,82).
