Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dean Cornwell could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work View Of Manhattan changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,036.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dean Cornwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 115,565.64).
