In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Two Centuries: American Art, which included the work Untitled (Soldier and Woman) by Dean Cornwell. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,190.00 (€ 6,974.37), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dean Cornwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 115,565.64).

Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Two Centuries: American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Soldier and Woman) von Dean Cornwell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 6.974,37) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dean Cornwell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 115.565,64).
