In September 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Gypsy Market by Dean Cornwell. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,802.84), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dean Cornwell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 137,500.00 (€ 115,565.64).

Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gypsy Market von Dean Cornwell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.802,84) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dean Cornwell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 137.500,00 (€ 115.565,64) versteigert wurde.
