Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wokt No. 3 (Waving Chairs) by Dawit Abebe was auctioned at Christies in London in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,348.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dawit Abebe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No.2 Background 3, 2014 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,192.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wokt No. 3 (Waving Chairs) von Dawit Abebe kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.348,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dawit Abebe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No.2 Background 3, 2014 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.192,29).
