Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figure with camera, 2004 by Dawit Abebe was auctioned at Artcurial in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,248.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dawit Abebe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No.2 Background 3, 2014 in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,192.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figure with camera, 2004 von Dawit Abebe kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.248,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dawit Abebe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No.2 Background 3, 2014 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.192,29).
