A top price for David Teniers I
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Meeting of Jacob and Laban by David Teniers I. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 254,500.00 (€ 302,401.06). With this result, The Meeting of Jacob and Laban is even the most expensive work of art by David Teniers I that we have observed at auctions so far.
