In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work A wooded landscape with Saint James the Elder resting on a riverbank, with a herdsman and his cattle in the distance, and a town beyond by David Teniers I. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,000.00 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meeting of Jacob and Laban in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 302,401.06).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape with Saint James the Elder resting on a riverbank, with a herdsman and his cattle in the distance, and a town beyond von David Teniers I zur Versteigerung kam.
