Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Christ On The Road To Calvary by David Teniers I. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,366.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meeting of Jacob and Laban in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 302,401.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ On The Road To Calvary von David Teniers I zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.366,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Teniers I erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Meeting of Jacob and Laban im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 254.500,00 (€ 302.401,06).
