Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Compass by David Row. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,818.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by David Row have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2008 the work Slow Expansion #545 was auctioned for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,710.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Compass von David Row zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.818,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von David Row konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2008 die Arbeit Slow Expansion #545 für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.710,93) versteigert.
