The work Post-Study after Painting #340 (#1) by David Reed was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2018. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,364.53), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Reed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work #439 in March this year with an auction result of GBP 67,310.00 (€ 76,578.13).

Die Arbeit Post-Study after Painting #340 (#1) von David Reed kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.364,53) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Reed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit #439 im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.310,00 (€ 76.578,13).
