Auction result well in line with expectations
The work F (The land before time) by David Ostrowski was auctioned at Phillips in London in July 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,559.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Ostrowski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work F (Gee Vaucher) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 215,054.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit F (The land before time) von David Ostrowski kam im Juli 2021 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.559,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Ostrowski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit F (Gee Vaucher) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 215.054,11).
