Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Murray could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Barges on the river changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 538.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Murray konnte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Barges on the river für GBP 375,00 (€ 538,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
