It achieved a price of GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,095.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David McClure - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure in an Interior, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).

Die Arbeit Vase of Flowers with Cup von David McClure kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.095,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von David McClure mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure in an Interior beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 18.800,00 (€ 29.916,72) versteigert wurde.
