Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Houses and Shore by David McClure was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,136.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David McClure - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure in an Interior, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Houses and Shore von David McClure kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.136,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von David McClure mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure in an Interior beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 18.800,00 (€ 29.916,72) versteigert wurde.
