Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Yellow Shawl by David McClure was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,933.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by David McClure have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figure in an Interior in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Yellow Shawl von David McClure wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.933,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David McClure auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figure in an Interior im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.800,00 (€ 29.916,72).
