Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for 'White Bird' I by David McClure was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 768.00 (€ 881.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David McClure achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure in an Interior in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for 'White Bird' I von David McClure wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 768,00 (€ 881,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David McClure erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure in an Interior im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.800,00 (€ 29.916,72).
