Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With Japanese Print by David McClure was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2015. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 14,243.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David McClure - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure in an Interior, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).

Die Arbeit Still Life With Japanese Print von David McClure wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 14.243,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David McClure mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure in an Interior beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 18.800,00 (€ 29.916,72) versteigert wurde.
