Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2012 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by David Korty for USD 1,000.00 (€ 771.72). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Korty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Santa Monica) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,600.00 (€ 23,556.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2012 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von David Korty für USD 1.000,00 (€ 771,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Korty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Santa Monica) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.600,00 (€ 23.556,64).
