Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Final Transition Jerusalem by David Whittaker was sold in the Wired: Online Auction auction at Phillips in an online auction in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 11,970.00 (€ 13,362.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Whittaker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait Four, Jewel Box (The Broads, Thunder Showers, Late Afternoon, A Young Girl in Reflection, Poetics of the Past Never Forgotten) in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,507.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Final Transition Jerusalem von David Whittaker wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Wired: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.970,00 (€ 13.362,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Whittaker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self Portrait Four, Jewel Box (The Broads, Thunder Showers, Late Afternoon, A Young Girl in Reflection, Poetics of the Past Never Forgotten) im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.507,61).
