In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Boy Drinking From A Barrel by David Gilmour Blythe. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,711.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Gilmour Blythe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Prayers and The Sequel: A Pair of Works in January 2024 with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 220,241.22).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.711,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00.
